Mort de l'étudiant Abdoulaye Ba : Les élèves du Lycée Aline Sitoé Diatta d'Oussouye boudent les classes
Students at the Aline Sitoé Diatta High School in Oussouye decided to paralyze the education system for a day in support of their peers at Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD) and to protest the death of student Abdoulaye Ba. These students declared Friday a day without school and spread the movement to several schools in the municipality, according to local radio station Kabisseu FM.
Posts on the radio station's Facebook page state that the initiators of this protest, which started at the Aline Sitoé Diatta High School, believe they are carrying out this action in solidarity with Senegalese students and to demand answers about the circumstances surrounding the death of the medical student at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar.
These high school students have joined other schools in the community in this mobilization, a way of inviting their classmates to join the movement.
This initiative has caused classes to stop in several schools in Oussouye, according to our colleagues.
