66 enfants porteurs du VIH/SIDA dans la région de Sédhiou
Regional Health Director Dr. Yeri Camara revealed this Monday that 66 children in the Sédhiou region are living with HIV/AIDS. In addition to the high cost of their medical care, these children often live in great social insecurity. During the launch of the EMPRISE 4 project, aimed at strengthening psychosocial care for children and adolescents living with HIV, Dr. Camara expressed his relief. "We can only welcome the partners targeting the Sédhiou medical region in these times of scarce resources. We hope that this project will significantly improve children's health by strengthening health and social care," he said. Mame Birame Niang, head of the EMPRISE 4 program, assured that the project aims to move closer to its target by moving to a decentralized level within three years, in order to better involve local stakeholders.
