Procès libyen: Deux anciens ministres français condamnés à six et deux ans de prison
Former ministers Claude Guéant and Brice Hortefeux were sentenced on Thursday to six years and two years in prison respectively by the Paris Criminal Court in the Libyan trial.
The sentence of Brice Hortefeux, 67, who is subject to home confinement under an electronic monitoring device, was subject to provisional execution, meaning it is applicable even in the event of an appeal. The court did not issue a detention warrant for Claude Guéant, 80, due to his health.
The two men were found guilty of holding discussions with Muammar Gaddafi's Libya with the aim of obtaining secret financing for Nicolas Sarkozy's 2007 presidential campaign. Evidence that such financing ultimately took place was not established by the proceedings, but having prepared it was sufficient to constitute the crime of criminal association, the court ruled.

ce Sarkozy (qui a le terrible complexe de sa petite taille) mérite d'etre pendu haut et court comme il l'est !
